Our WorkPhotos A-Z – Slaughter

Bearing witness to slaughter is a difficult act. Like humans, most animals are highly sensitive to the sights, sounds, and smells of death around them. This means that before their death, almost every animal slaughtered for human consumption or use experiences the stress and fear of knowing that violence awaits them. Regardless of how they were treated during their life, all animals raised for human consumption (including dairy cows, laying hens, and sheep used for wool), are slaughtered at a young age.
